Kacao on Round: 2

Here is the second version from rimes kacao77 scetch done in july 2008. But let me first say some few words to the first version of 2005. The project was new to me and i couldn`t find the space to do more for it between the book at that time. The first impression of rimes scetch was surprising, because he gave me the first exchange scetch and he did it long and colorfull. But i really liked it and it was crazy to see that somebody put so much energy in my name in such a different style! When i saw the scetch i knew i had to do it right like on the paper, or not. So one day i put cans together and started the firstlines and recognized that this is not easy... the result for one day was ok and i really didn`t looked right before and missed some cans. The outlines came out really good and i didn`t mixed or changed a thing on it but the colors and the bubblelandscape came different and not really good and i fucked up and didn`t the whole wall till the top.

The version of 2008 was a 3 days mission and i had a lot, really a lot of colors in my bag. I had so many different colors from one tone, to fade it correct like on the scetch from rime. The outlines come out quicker then in 2005, cause i remembered the difficulties from this or that corner and had fun. To color it was another thing. Each letter costs me really time! I had to look right and transfer it right to the wall. It was nice to blend the fading with 13 colors but still it was hard work. everything came out correct, the style, colors, composition, tags and logos. On the third day i decided to change the background from white to black. It looked fresh on the scetch and boring on the wall. I covered the background black with some stars and put the end of the 2008 version from rimes kacao77 scetch.

I am very happy with the result and like everything on it

Rime on creating the sketch:

Well here you have it Kacao! I am giving you two possible choices: One choice would be to take the little block letter (in the top left corner) to a wall and rock that out. The other choice is to go all out and flex this big , long dorky wildstyle on a wall near you. I of course would hope that you will take this large outline and take it as far as you can...
I look forward to seeing the outcome.

A little about the piece:

This thing was drawn across three 11x 17 inch pages taped together from the back. I wanted to create something a bit experimental and loose. I wanted the 3-D's and drop shadows to play an important role in the piece. I noticed that a lot of your more recent pieces play around with the rules of the classic graffiti 3-D, so I felt that you might appreciate my take on giving dimension to flat lettering.

The first 'A' is capital and the 'C' is tucked practically behind the 'K' and the 'A'. The second 'A' is lowercase, and the 'O' is just overweight. Have fun , Get loose and let me know how it turns out!

Oh, and try a thow up while your at it!

Peace.

Kacao on receiving the sketch:

Puah! I am surprised, that you did a color sketch!... I was thinking of coloring your sketch aswell

... I think I will do that!

..There are funky fresh colors inside the piece, but I couldn`t read it well on the first view....but eventually I got it and I was like 'yeah man! It`s a cool style with good comic elements inside and around it...

I like it!

thanks !

Rime on viewing Kacao's Interpretation:

Congratulations on completing your first assignment! I am very impressed with the way you rocked the piece on the wall. It's interesting to compare the evolution from the sketch I designed to your completed wall version. I like the dark blue bubbles with the white outline running across the bottom of the piece. Maybe it's the blueish color outline, maybe it's the shines, lines or ovarall treatment.. but the finished piece has a real classic look to it. Nice job, I look forward to seeing your future collaborations with the rest of the group!
