Ewok on creating the sketch:

After several failed attempts, I finally got your outline finished. It Looks cluttery in black and white, but I think that if you use light and dark shades of whatever colors to push back and pull foreward the main features of the letters, it should work out right. I had to do the 'E' on a sepatate page and piece it together because I ran out of room. feel free to embellish anything or change stuff if you want to. I wanted to have more Organic bubbly soft stuff going on, but it was hard to figure it into the sketch. Generally when trying to paint something like this, I'd add flourishes of organic shit at the end where it needs it. The main thing I don't like all that much is the hole in the 'head' of the 'R'. If you've got any better ideas in handling that, go for it.

Also, make sure you hit up Bell Biv Devoe when you paint it. Let me know what you think....

Whoomp Whooooo,

Rime on viewing the sketch:

Damn! My swatch watch stopped at 6'oclock when I first peeped this! This is a style that I am not accustomed to seeing you produce. It has to be my favorite sketch you have contributed thus far. I like the variation of size of the letter forms ... what also works well is the inner workings of style and detail happening within the larger chunks of each base letter. I will most likely rock this full color although the piece looks real strong in black and white.

It's too bad your rap career didnt turn out as you had planned. I know that Jermaine Dupri had said that Kris Kross was going to be the Black answer to NKOTB but I guess neither Chris, nor you, nor the label knew that kid groups were on there way out. It's a good thing you stuck to graffiti man! It's sad to think about what happened to Ro Ro from ABC... RIP

Rime on executing the sketch:

Rocking this outline was both challenging and rewarding. I felt that the outline was so fresh I wanted to paint it as true as possible. At Ewok's request I made a few slight alterations towards the end. I changed the face if the "E" and remodeled a few of the connections. I had fun rendering the letters and playing around with the odd shapes in the piece. I tried to take my time painting this piece in an effort to redeem myself for that less then average attempt at the Serch Outline... Still plan on redoing that one! Ewok is one of my major influences in graffiti style. I am very happy to be collaborating with so many of my influences on this project..

And you know I had to quote BBD on this one...POISON!!
